The Design Story

This beautiful Red River teardrop cabochon is set in a gallery wire bezel. It was then given a matte finish and then polished with steel shot to provide a dark satin finish. The ring is finished with a silk textured band. Red River has been previously thought to be a type of turquoise but recent finding show that is actually part Faustite which is a cousin to turquoise. It does come from the Red River mine in Qingu China. The stone has deep teal background with a rich brown matrix. This ring is designed to symbolize our the opening of one's heart and heart chakra. The precious metals magnify the energy of the stones.
